Dear Terrace Elementary Families,

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, I want to share several important updates with you:

New School Hours
Starting August 2025, our school hours will shift to 7:50 AM to 3:05 PM. We encourage families to begin planning for adjusted morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up routines. District transportation schedules may adjust to meet this change in our school hours.

Rezoning Notice – Check Your Address
Some families may be affected by updated attendance boundaries approved by the SBISD Board of Trustees in Spring 2024 for the coming school year. We encourage all families to verify their home address using the SBISD School Finder Tool to confirm their assigned campus for 2025–2026:

New Location – Starting December 2025
Terrace Elementary will relocate in January 2026 to 7635 Amelia Road, Houston, TX 77055 so that construction can begin on our beautiful new school, funded by the 2017 Bond Program. While the move is still over six months away, we’re sharing this information early, so families have ample time to prepare. We’ll continue to provide updates as the transition approaches—please stay connected through Remind and the Terrace Elementary website. District transportation will continue to be provided for Terrace families to our transition campus location.
